Libraries Closed July 4
All non-essential City of Fort Worth
offices and all Fort Worth Libraries are closed July 4 for
Independence Day.
The following city facilities and
programs will operate on modified schedules:

City Hall: Closed

Fort Worth Botanic
Garden/Japanese Garden: the Botanic Garden will be open
normal hours, the Garden Center from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Japanese
Garden from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Municipal Golf Courses:
Open normal hours

Log Cabin Village:
Closed

Fort Worth Nature Center and
Refuge: Open normal hours

Fort Worth Herd:
Normal drive times

Municipal Courts (except the
Arraignment Court and Warrant Section): Closed

Garbage Collection:
Regular pick-up schedule

Swimming Pools:
Open noon-6 p.m.

Mass Transit: The
T’s buses will operate on a Sunday schedule and the Trinity

Get Ready Now for
Digital TV Switch in 2009
After Feb. 17, residents who do not
subscribe to cable or satellite for television service will need a
digital-to-analog converter or a television with a digital tuner to
receive over-the-air broadcasts. For more information, visit

Summer Reading
Program Runs Through July 26
Climb
into a "summer time machine" and journey to the past, present and
future with books from the Fort Worth Public Library. Registration
is open for Mayor Mike Moncrief's Summer Reading Challenge, a summer
program that encourages residents of all ages to dedicate at least
20 minutes a day to reading.

Crime Prevention Tip
for the Week of June 23:
Make sure all tools and ladders are
properly secured. Tools can be used to facilitate entry by a
burglar. A ladder makes it easy for a burglar to make entry through
an upstairs window or even onto the roof where it might be easier to
break in.
